EXHORDER: Video Footage, Photos Of Houma Concert Available
December 15, 2009Video footage of reactivated legendary New Orleans metallers EXHORDER — cited by many as the originators of the riff-heavy power-groove approach popularized by PANTERA (photo) — performing the song "Legions Of Death" on December 12, 2009 at the City Club in Houma, Louisiana can be viewed below (courtesy of "Holderbeast666").
Photos of the concert are available at Exhorder.com.
EXHORDER's November 14, 2009 show at Southport Hall in Jefferson, Louisiana marked the band's first live performance since its March 2001 reunion shows at Zeppelin's in Metairie, Louisiana.
The group's encore consisted of a medley of S.O.D.'s "March of the S.O.D.", "Sargent D and the S.O.D." and "United Forces", a cover of the punk rock classic "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight" (by THE REZILLOS) and "Ripping Flesh" from EXHORDER's 1986 "Get Rude" demo — a song they hadn't played since 1989.
EXHORDER's lineup for the two shows was as follows:
Kyle Thomas - Vocals
Vinnie Labella - Guitar
Jay Ceravolo - Guitar
Chris Nail - Drums
Frankie Sparcello - Bass
Poland's Metal Mind Productions re-released the two albums (1990's "Slaughter in the Vatican" and 1992's "The Law") from EXHORDER in May 2008. Each limited-edition digipack title (limited to 2,000 copies) was made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology.
